How does Tripkada work?

Tripkada is made possible by it's community of travelers who organize trips independently. Trip organizers do not work for tripkada, unless specified. They are curated and given special access to your organizer app, trainings and events that we hope will help them to provide great experiences for their joiners

Trip organizers post their trips on Tripkada, and open them for users to join. When a user books a trip, they pay the specified downpayment, and settle the remaining balance when they meet with the Trip Organizer before the departure for the trip.

Are providers safe and trustworthy?

Tripkada works to curate trip organizers on the platform to help ensure the welfare of its users. We invite travelers to leave honest reviews on each trip organizer after every trip, in order to recognise those who provide excellent service and filter out those who don’t.

If a trip organizer receives consistently negative reviews from travelers, they will be suspended from the platform and subjected to a review period.

Who are your providers?

Trip organizers range from travel agencies, tour operators, and independent informal trip organizers looking to earn extra money during the weekends.

How do you ensure quality?

Does Tripkada provide liability waiver for travellers?

By booking a trip through Tripkada, you, as the traveller, release Tripkada from all liability, and bear any risks like a regular traveller. Travel insurance may be availed of by the traveller at their own discretion, or may be provided by the Trip Organizers at their own discretion. If travel insurance is included, it must be stated within the Inclusions section of the corresponding Trip Page.

What happens with my payment when I pay?

Tripkada receives your payment in behalf of the Trip Organizers, and ensures that it is remitted to the respective Trip Organizer in a timely manner. Once your payment is confirmed, your slot is booked for the Trip and it should reflect on your My Trips section in the App, as well as the corresponding Trip Page itself.

Do I need to bring the booking voucher along?

No more need! Simply bring your phone with your installed app, and your valid ID to confirm your identity, when you go to the meeting place to join your Trip Organizer and your new travel buddies!

How do I search for specific types of Trips?

As we continue to grow, you’ll be able to find more trips to fit your itchy feet. If there’s anything in particular that you’re looking for, do send us a message through [email protected], and we’ll do our best to find a match or even create a new trip especially for you.

How can I contact the Trip Organizer?

Your Trip Organizer will contact you prior to the meetup for the Trip, with a few reminders. You’ll also receive the contact details of your Trip Organizer via your Booking Confirmation Email. If you find that you cannot reach your Trip Organizer, please contact us immediately, so that we can assist you. Our contact numbers are available for you: +63908 343 1474 / +63977 2565 410.

I’m travelling in a group but the experience I want to book has a limit to number of guests and cannot accommodate my group. What can I do?

Don’t worry! Simply send us an email through [email protected] Let us know how many you are, what you’re looking to experience, and how much your budget is per person. We’ll do our best to make special arrangements just for you!

I wish to book a private tour for my group. How can I do that?

How do I book a Trip?

Download Tripkada on Google Play, complete the registration, then browse the Trips on your Trip Stream. Once you find a Trip that fits your wants and needs, simply click JOIN TRIP, and complete the booking process.

I’m travelling alone but the experience requires a minimum number of people. Can I still book it?

No problemo! Book your slot, and share your trip. Tripkada is a great platform for you to join up with other travellers eager to go explore the same place with you.

Can I make multiple booking enquiries?

You may book as many trips as you want. Just make sure you don’t double or triple-book your weekend! Kinda hard to be in more than one place at the same time, right?

Why do I need to pay a downpayment?

Your downpayment is your commitment to not be a flaker. This is very important! BUT if it is absolutely necessary for you to cancel your trip, your downpayment is NON-REFUNDABLE. It is, however, TRANSFERRABLE. It’s very important to fulfill the down payment, because this will ensure that arrangements can be secured by the Trip Organizer.

How do I transfer my slot to someone else?

In order to transfer your slot, simply contact [email protected] with the subject: TRANSFER SLOT, and the following details:

  • Your Full Name
  • Title of the Trip
  • Date of Trip
  • Trip Organizer's Name
  • Transferee's Full Name
  • Transferee's Cellphone Number
  • Transferee's Email

Transfers must be done AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE DEPARTURE TIME OF THE TRIP.

How do I cancel a booking?

Please contact Tripkada immediately via [email protected], so that we can coordinate with your Trip Organizer right away.

Note that your downpayment is NON-REFUNDABLE. It is, however, TRANSFERRABLE. It’s very important to fulfill the down payment, because this will ensure that arrangements can be secured by the Trip Organizer.

What happens if the Trip does not reach the minimum number of joiners required?

Unfortunately, a Trip cannot push through if there are not enough joiners booked so share your trip with your friends and family! If the minimum still has not been reached 48 hours prior to the meeting and departure time of the trip, you will be notified by the Trip Organizer and Tripkada.

The Tripkada Team will then assist you in booking a new trip for the weekend or a different date.

The Trip Organizer I booked with is unable to show up and he got someone else to do the Trip instead. What should I do?

Don’t worry! Your Trip Organizer still has you covered, and you’ll be taken care of by someone s/he trusts. If you have a problem with this though, we’d be happy to help you book a different Trip for the same date/s using your already deposited downpayment. What happens if the Trip Organizer is a no-show?

Your Trip Organizer will contact you prior to the meetup for the Trip, with a few reminders. If you find that you cannot reach your Trip Organizer, please contact us immediately, so that we can assist you. Our contact numbers are available for you: +63999 6011 444 / +63977 2565 410.

In the event that the Trip Organizer truly cannot be reached, the Tripkada Team will work to find you a suitable replacement Trip the same or similar to your booked Trip on the date booked. If there are no available Trips, you will be contacted by Tripkada and fully refunded your down payment.

Trip Organizers must be reliable, and if we find observe a pattern of unreliability or negative feedback from our travellers, the Trip Organizer in question will be suspended from the Tripkada platform.

The weather/security looks pretty bad. Is the Trip cancelled?

Trips may be cancelled due to unfavorable weather/security conditions beyond the control of Trip Organizers and Tripkada. In the event of cancellation, the Trip Organizer will contact you personally to confirm the cancellation of the Trip. Your options are as follows:

  • Reschedule directly with the Trip Organizer
  • Refund your down payment, less the PHP100 booking fee, from Tripkada, with the endorsement of your Trip Organizer.
I contacted my provider after booking confirmation, but there was no response. What should I do?

Who can be a Trip Organizer?

Are you organised, outgoing, sociable, and full of the thirst for adventure? You can be a Trip Organizer if and only if you are all of these and more! Tripkada Trip Organizers are our eyes, ears, hands, feet, you name it, that’s them, on the trips. Tripkada doesn’t operate the trips, the Trip Organizers do.

If you’re a traveler who is usually the go-to person that everyone relies on for travel plans, the one who can be calm and solve problems when they happen, friendly beyond control, and you’re passionate about create amazing and memorable experiences, then maybe you should be a Trip Organizer yourself.

How do I create and share my trip on Tripkada?

Once you’ve been approved by the Tripkada Team, you’ll be given access to the Tripkada Organizers App. It’s simple, straightforward, and easy-to-use. Just create a trip, and once you click Publish, it will reflect on the Tripkada App, and appear on the Trip Stream.

How much does it cost to list my Tripkada?

It’s FREE to list your Trips on Tripkada!

How do I get paid?

Tripkada collects the down payment from users when they book, in order to secure their slot on the trip. Using the registered bank account, Tripkada remits the accumulated downpayment to the Trip Organizer and remits the total amount every Thursday before the specified date of the Trip, less the booking transaction fee/user that is charged to the user.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Traveler Cancels

All down payments are non-refundable. They are, however, transferrable at least 48 hours prior to the specified departure time of the trip. The request for the transfer of slot must be sent via link (link to Request to Transfer Slot). Transfers are not approved and final until both you and your transferee receive confirmation via email.

Partner Cancels

Whenever possible, Tripkada will connect you with an alternate Trip Organizer who can fulfil your booking requirement/s. If not, Tripkada will convert the applicable fees for the respective booking into credit that the you may use to book services on Tripkada up to one (1) year from the cancellation.

Cancellation Due to Outside Factors (Force majeure)

Certain services may depend on factors outside either party's control, such as weather, calamities, political instability, and security threats ("Outside Factors"). The Trip Organizer has the discretion as to whether Outside Factors will prevent the partner service booked from taking place. It is the responsibility of the Trip Organizer to contact you and Tripkada as early as possible.

Subject to your consent, you and the Trip Organizer may choose to reschedule the partner service for another date. If the partner service cannot be rescheduled, you must contact Tripkada so we may assist in finding a replacement partner service. For clarity, in the event the alternative Trip Organizer service is of a higher price than the former, you will be responsible for any difference in price. In the event the alternative partner service is of a lower price, you will be entitled to a partial refund for the difference in the form of credit that you may use to book services on Tripkada up to one (1) year from the cancellation.

As a traveler, if you have contacted Tripkada as provided above and Tripkada is unable to find you a replacement partner service, Tripkada may refund the applicable Service Fees for such booking to you up to 10 (ten) days after the cancellation is made final. Booking Fees are entirely non-refundable.
